I may be overthinking this but isn't the princess acting like a big shot lately? Why is she treating the Tower like it was a vassal to her nation or something? 'I want to see how people are living here', she says, like what right does she have to request that when she can't even do so in her own nation? I do think she's a bit of a problem. The author is aware of this but he'll keep trying to justify it, at every turn. It really makes the MC look like a pushover.
