The setting of Devil Survivor 2 spans the whole country of Japan. It tells the story of Japanese high-school students who receive emails from a website foretelling their friend's deaths. Mysterious creatures invade the country, and the students enter a pact, enabling them to summon demons from their cell phones with a special Devil Summoning App.

With the space program attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. They came up with an efficient and cost effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and the insect corpses would serve as a food source for the mold.
It is now the year 2577 and the first manned ship to Mars has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they find are giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily wiped out, but not before sending a transmission back to Earth. Now, humanity will send elite warriors to exterminate the mutated bugs and claim back Mars.

This series is a complete remake of the original Mao Dante, with new designs an a story slightly inspired by the anime of 2002. This time, the timespan of the story is longer, the character design is different, and all unanswered questions left when the original series was interrupted, are answered. As Japan's population grows older and smaller, and as murder rates skyrocket, the Japanese government began to implement stricter laws against the worst criminals. With even the death penalty lacking the deterring force to stop the most violent criminals, Japan brought back to life a law from the 19th century: the Revenge law. This law allows victims and their related parties to employ a governmental special forces agency to capture and attack the murderer—by reenacting the exact same methods that the murderer used on the victim.
Yamagishi Yuji is the 7th member of the Special Forces "Sukedachi-nin." Each of the members of this special forces has been chosen to enforce the Revenge law because they too have been a victim of past crimes.

The AD Police are an elite group of highly trained and specially equipped police officers who have been formed to deal with terrorist activities and Boomer robot crimes in the city of Megatokyo. They are more heavily armed and equipped (including power armors like the K-11 and K-12) for a normal police force, but too lightly for a military organization.

The AD Police are offered a great deal of leeway in their activities, often blockading large sections of the city and causing great amounts of property damage in the course of fulfilling their duty. Despite their dedication to their jobs, however, the citizens of Megatokyo tend to dislike and distrust members of the AD Police, seeing them as corrupt and ineffectual.

Set in the context of the world in 2040, the entire earth had fallen into drought and only Japan was able to survive after it by inventing a method of cell compression. It's a world where everything has been made smaller: The diminished world. It is the underwater city called JURA.

Two kids that live in the new version of the world start to connect through a transient period and remind themselves of how pretty the old Earth is and so as their childhood. As they grow up, they go on a journey in an unfamiliar world where survival situations happen every day.

A mysterious illness is spreading rapidly through the halls of Fujimi High School. In a matter of hours, the campus is transformed from a place of learning into a hive of nightmares, as the infected students collapse and are reborn as flesh-hungry zombies! Only a handful of students escape the initial outbreak - among them Takashi Komuro and his childhood friend, Rei.
