Set in the context of the world in 2040, the entire earth had fallen into drought and only Japan was able to survive after it by inventing a method of cell compression. It's a world where everything has been made smaller: The diminished world. It is the underwater city called JURA.

Two kids that live in the new version of the world start to connect through a transient period and remind themselves of how pretty the old Earth is and so as their childhood. As they grow up, they go on a journey in an unfamiliar world where survival situations happen every day.

In an imaginary age of gods about 20 years after the war, Japan is flooded with all the superhumans ever written about in fictional stories: titans from outer space, lifeforms from a mystical world, phantoms and goblins from ancient times, cyborgs created by scientists, relics that rose out of the ruins of ancient civilizations, and the list goes on. Some of them make no secret of their existence and have gained popularity in the society, while others cloak their identities and fight in secrecy.
Naturally, the Japanese government cannot ignore the existence of these superhumans and establishes an organization under the Ministry of Health and Welfare - the Overpopulation Research Laboratory, a.k.a. the Superhuman Bureau. Their mission is to identify and approach superhumans, then oversee and safeguard them.

A mysterious illness is spreading rapidly through the halls of Fujimi High School. In a matter of hours, the campus is transformed from a place of learning into a hive of nightmares, as the infected students collapse and are reborn as flesh-hungry zombies!
