The romance in that manga is real slow, though. This one, however, is present in the first few chapters, making it much more engaging for romance enjoyers (me).
Previously, I felt very frustrated when I got spoiled because, for context, I really hate spoilers. This combined with the my prior experiences in Discord where people use the "spoiler" system for anything but spoilers led me to click this comment without much thinking. Due to my aforementioned hatred for spoilers, all this ultimately made me go onto a small rant about spoiler tags, with my mindset at the time being the one you mentioned
(if bro told you "oh by the way mc dies at the end" out of the blue with no prior context or that he ends up failing his objectie at the end of this arc, I can't say he'd be in the wrong but it would be a pretty fking nice addition to tag it)
I guess it's just up to what one's definition of a major spoiler. Though I still prefer people tagging spoilers regardless, as there not only is no harm in it, but also doesn't take an 'extra mile or two' as you mentioned in your other replies.
And, no. There is a way to prevent this. The commenter could have said that the their comment was a major spoiler. This way, I could've not opened the spoiler tag.
Yes. I know that it's my fault that I got spoiled (despite being in the latest chapter at the time of reading), but it'd still be beneficial for every single person if he did warn before the actual spoiler. What I just wanted to convey in my original reply was that for the commenter to ideally warn before spoilers in their future comments, ensuring that nothing like this ever happens again. Don't see how this is controversial...
Overall, I'm glad that they didn't try to milk this any further, and instead give us a pretty satisfactory ending.
Can you try putting yourself in my shoes here? I was here thinking I was safe from spoilers, then out of the blue, got spoiled about something rather major with no reasons whatsoever.
