It's incredibly fast, but I do think that it's one of its main charms. No longer shall you wait for chapter 40 for hand holding, or chapter 80 for confession. However, one major drawback that comes from that is the really contrived, abrupt and arbitrary ways in which the plot proceeds.
The silver lining is, fortunately, the things they do is just so sweet and cute that the nitpicks are forgettable. FMC carries the manga, while MC is really just like your typical romcom MC with a dislocated backbone. Side characters are purely plot devices except for one, but like I said, the main ship is just so cute that they don't even matter.
This got to be one of the best sequence of a "date invitation" pre-confession
To cut it short, MC is a carefree freshman at highschool that works part time to support his seemingly crumbling household. In the same school, there's a girl hating on his happy-go-lucky attitude. One day, MC went to her house in his tutor attire, and bafflingly enough, she somehow doesn't recognize him. After a few touching interactions, she fell in love with him and asked to be his student. The next day at school, she told MC that she likes her tutor (MC) and asked for help, oblivious to the fact that the tutor is the guy in front of her.
The art is good, MC's backstory seems pretty solid, and it overall looks pretty elaborate. The premise is just really stupid, unfortunately.
Okay, I know that the robot is technically FMC in this manga, but I lowkey wish that the MC actually gets to be with the childhood friend. I'm pretty tired of triangles always ending up with the main characters as the winner; that's beyond cliche and extremely anti-climactic.
