I think it could have been interesting if the loss of the arm would be permanent, perhaps with a fire arm in the "possessed" state. Also I think that the fire spirit is gonna have some mental problems, ptsd or the like related to why she lost most memories and the previous partner. I believe its the Western most province around this time period which is why it's often in conflict with Heavenly Demon cult/Blood cult/some random cult as they are often portrayed as being "outside" China and wanting to "break in" and establish themselves in China proper.

Well tbh there might be a couple Murim stories centered in fantasy Korea but the only one I know is The Breaker series but thats a modern murim setting, and very... "old school" manhwa, so its not for everyone even though I love it.
