To be able to live but a fraction of others, to go through the generations before others are even done with 1 it truly makes memories short. And when you live generations in (relative) safety compared to your ancestors but you live amongst walking gods, as that is what long lived are to those with short lives, even what was once salvation becomes slavery if you get disconnected from your history.
