I mean it is cleanly explained I suppose. it feels very "deus ex machina" but in fairness most plot twist in any fiction do seem like that. Change is hard to accept in fiction but I have a feeling it will turn out on the better side as opposed to the Chinese slop you mentioned

no your right I was totally incorrect with my terminology. cancer is treated a few ways but the main one is chemotherapy(chemicals and other body based systems) but I was talking about radiotherapy which is a process involving radiation (which is exactly what you said but not on the same section of the electromagnetic spectrum (just look it up but basically its a big graph for power levels)) I just put it as lasers cuz its funnier (and because lasers are also on the electromagnetic spectrum)

in fairness your probably correct with the deep dive claim as I'm still fairly new to manga but I think it is fair to say that there are way more sword(and other medical weaponry) favored ones compared to gun favored ones. but you are correct I was heavily exhaturating when I said "no one"

id say look at sci-fi guns from games like destiny 2 and from warhammer 40k and doom or if you want more fantasy look at Bayonetta and bloodborne. it may just be the sci-fi lover in me but they seem much more impressive and elaborate then swords or other medical weapons. maybe swords win in a contest of "elagence" but as soon as complexity and detail is in view guns and other scifi weapons win every time (in my opinion)

its a Japanese manga so its obviously gonna be super biased towards a Japanese audience. I'm american so when I think about Asian food (for better or for worse) it all very much blends together into one "thing" I'm just not experienced in that category of food. don't blame the artist or translators just blame social bias :)
