People typically help others when they can, that's normal human behavior. During a crisis, people will help if they have the opportunity. While not everyone will step in, most people will at least try to assist. There are tons of records of this behavior all over the internet, including YouTube and public records. In the case of the MC, he didn't witness the incident, so even if he does manage to remember, he wouldn't know how it happened. After a head injury, people are dazed, like the MC. The brain struggles to process information correctly. This happens immediately after the head injury. Even a minor concussion can lead to a ton of issues.
