A story I read had/has something like this fear you feel: It's called Age of Chaos and summoned people (They are called otherworlders) terrified the gods and goddess' of that universe because due to otherworlders having limitless potential and some otherworlders had systems/status screens and viewed the world like a videogame, everything was just a game to them while they would slaughter tens of thousands of people, monsters, probably some weak gods to "level up".
