Well it's tuesday Lunch time and I've just finished this.
it was great, but only an 8/10. It tackled a lot of stuff I didn't expect at all. It definitely filled the "what the fuck did I just read" feeling from Fujimoto's works, so I'm happy.

Fujimoto is an insane mangaka, truly one of a kind. So I'll be starting this manga today (Sunday the 12th of May) and I expect to finish it by Wednesday, it looks like a short enough manga. Chainsaw man's 2nd part is slow paced so I've been wanting some Fujimoto action for a while now. Seems like this manga can do that for me. I can't wait to say "What the fuck" after every chapter. It'll be an experience.

bwahahahahahahaha omg I can't!!! It's far too corny for this manga to have a final chant like "do your best!!". Won't a simple "DO IT!!!" like Dragon Ball Super had suffice? This feels like an advertisement for a cologne ad....

Doesn't help that Horikoshi-sensei just loves to break tension by putting in scenes that break away from the action when the tension is at its highest. That's like a football movie showing a team control the ball from their side all the way up until the striker is about to shoot, and then cutting away to a 20 minute scene of the defeated last team having dinner talking about the current team and THEN cutting to the final strike and goal. That's NOT how you write stories. This mangaka's writing is just, and I don't say this lightly, Incompetent. The art is great as always, but I literally have no idea who's who in many scenes. Not that I care because they are all undeveloped, one-note characters anyway.

If I had a nickle for every romcom that became supernatural, I'd have two nickles! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
I guess this does explain her fortune powers ever since the beginning of the manga, but this is still hard to wrap my head around, particularly with the non-existent release deadlines.

It's an incel fantasy, and Japan has a lot of incels and virgins (leading to a low birth rate). It's relatable to those people, and most of those people spend millions on manga and weeb stuff anyway so it's a perfect strat.

If you want an actual GOOD Hotpot guide/experience, I'd recommend watching the "Fung Bros" hot pot 101 video. It's funny, well-edited for an old video, and looks absolutely delicious. I refuse to take advice/strategy from this mangaka on anything. Especially when he puts so much unneeded shit like an ass shot of Mizu in the シャワー...
