If I was actually torn from my current life into a world where I have 0 right to speak my mind, have to wear restricting clothes all day, and am pushed around as a pawn, because even as - no, especially as - a noble, a woman's value across worlds basically comes down to what heirs she can bear...I would probably be as antagonistic to this world as our Villainess here.
Not to mention, in most otome reincarnation stories, after the MC perfectly adjusts to an entirely new world, her foreknowledge or lack of interest in noble squabbles make her "interesting". To the mage tower/priest guy who will randomly teleport to her location without considering what she wants. To the crown prince who is a jerk to everyone but only sweet with the girl that intrigues him. To the duke or swordmaster whose dead mom or tragic past justifies all type of atrocities, until the reincarnated girl brings romance and salvation into his life.
Not a single one of these tropes are healthy, and the female leads almost always have a huge disadvantage in social power compared to the male leads, which the latter love to use to their advantage. So this story kind of takes a second look at the romantic fantasy genre and asks: Is it really happiness to have overpowered, traumatized men obsess over you? Enough to find you across multiple lifetimes, massacre hundreds of ordinary people excepting you, and using their aristocratic authority to confine you?
Because many of the most popular otome isekai have characters that do just that.
Reminds me of Dragon Yashinatte Kudasai :)
