Well, Horimiya did start as a comedy-heavy webcomic, whereas Kaoru Hana is a more contemplative and beautifully crafted manga from the get go.

Horimiya is better off compared to a story like TsureZure children.
Kaoru Hana is better off compared to ToraDora or Rascal does not dream.
