The goal should always be to munchkin the game as hard as possible. When you play a death game, how the guide/developer wants it, you only play yourself.
1. In this scenario they simply died from environment damage. That means that you wouldn't even get the exp or loot from their death.
2. The more people survive the better. If you remember the last game, there were always better conditions, when more people survived.
3. They could have simply converged at some point. Everyone abandoned any loot the could have gotten from the other islands.
4. What kind of psychopath are you? it should be basic human decency to help others.
5. Diminishing returns of level increase for exp. Even if you power level at some point the exp you need to get +1 stat increase are enough to increase the stat over others by 5 or more. You gain more by having a versatile high level team then one slightly higher solo player. I can't believe I have to explain this.
6. Asshole karma! Your behavior is something I expect from mid npc villains. You might believe there is no stat for it, but karma has a way to catch up to you. Your assholeness might lead to the death of the parents or children of someone and next thing you know, you wake up in a SAW game. Watch SAW 5 for fuck's sake.
7. Also being "FIT" doesn't give you anything in a world with game mechanics. You have stats that after become irrelevant after the first stages. The only fit state would be your mental state and I doubt it's very high, when you sacrifice 2/3 of your group to get an irrelevant head start.
