Good call, but again that would raise the issue of whether or not the people in the paradise simulation are copies or not. That could lead to a kind of dark ending with the MC being one of if not the only human on the planet who is actually himself and not a copy.

The sad part of this is those are most likely only copies of their consciousnesses not actually them, but an AI probably would not appreciate the distinction, it sees their deaths as a positive thing since a version of its victims gets to "live" in an artificial paradise free from suffering.
