So I wouldn't say Dandadan is overrated, but I will say I'm exhausted by the never ending appearance of seemingly random bullshit that bursts into the room right when any sort of meaningful growth with the two MC's starts to happen. Am I the only one who feels like so much is happening and yet somehow almost nothing is happening at the same time? All these big epic battles are cool and all for awhile, but for me at least they just start to feel like meaningless filler without substance when I just want to see the the main characters grow closer, which is only now, at chapter 200 or so, starting to happen. (Maybe?)

Another thing is that as time goes on so many characters start to get introduced to the squad that seeing any of them get proper screen time becomes wishful thinking, especially with the aforementioned never ending chaos always taking center stage.

I feel like the author could stand to give the characters, and by extension us, a bit more time to breathe inbetween arcs and flesh out all the interesting characters a bit more.

The plants and animals have certainly receded out of the limelight but they are by no means dead as a whole, the beasts seeming to be hidden within seeds waiting to be awakened like oak.

While it does seem hard to wrap ones head around how man has managed to stay fed enough to survive, we have seen that they do grow food to a degree and that it is rationed by the kingdom, the degree to which is the question, but I will give the author benefit of the doubt and time to expand while the world is still being built.

I have seen you complain about the plants being called amur and, quoting you from the front page, "Turns out what plants need most is not good soil, clean air and sunlight but kumbia circle of life?" A point of view I would agree with as a whole, but have you considered that the entire reason that the author places such distinction on how they are referred to is because they are hinting that plants in this world are decidedly different from those in ours, only appearing the same superficially?

It's an interesting premise, with a lot of mystery still hovering on the horizon. The MC starts out fairly naive, but even by chapter 16 (The most recent as of this post) she's already starting to show some decent growth. Although I can agree somewhat with TruepurpleMK's concerns over just how so many people manage to stay fed among other things, there are still many details about the world that are still being slowly revealed, and so I cannot help but view their entire post as grossly exaggerated negativity that doesn't give the story it's proper due. Makes sense considering they've been notorious for giving brain dead takes for years.

Atm I would give it a 7/10, could easily go up or down depending on future revelations, but it has potential and is definitely worth a read so far.

I think one of the most important things to keep in mind here is that despite all her flaws, she's never held the MC's honesty against him or been spiteful when he doesn't go along with her whims, which is pretty much every chapter. At least in the context of the manga, her motivations and mindset are very pure and forgiving, she just has clear bi-polar. In my experience, while the clinginess can be tiring and annoying, the real issue comes when there is a lack of trust and malicious intent, which I don't see from her. So honestly, if you think the clingy bit wouldn't bother you, then theoretically it might could work out pretty well and be a fulfilling relationship. Theoretically.
