Unless the population slowly got mana overtime... but then, people would not me minority right away and would find reasonable ways.

The only method which makes sense to me is violent civil war, with mana user establishing themselves as high race and the discrimination being presented as a way to control the masses.

The original body was super weird, having power but unable to use it.

He did go through depression because of bullying, but didn't commit suicide, and was just transported to another world.

But then, does morality work the same way? What about experience? She had the knowledge to battle, but what about social and intimate stuff.
