As a child once I got called by a scammer. I was naive. But also a brat. The scammer hung up because I kept annoying him with details and questions.

Honestly, the way the manga slowly has built into this is freaking great.

Growth is about trying.

I guess the issue here is that, besides being in such a complicated age as the teenage years where you are trying to decide who you are, these two already had a role self-imposed and can't seem to accept anything outside the roles they themselves chose, fearing that would deny what they've done so far.

Finally seeing more of her inner workings and being able to relate is such a fantastic moment.

And her being sick — the typical trope — works perfectly as well.

I guess she always worked with a clear but structured way of life, which meant she never had time to consider things for herself.

The idea of making friends would never cross her mind, as her role was that of a an assistant and bodyguard, everything being decided for her.

I reckon they sent her here because she is lacking a sense of self.
And Miyabi is quite the chaos magnet.

The world building going INSANE all of a sudden.
