It seems the amount of girls surrounding the male MC keeps increasing, despite not being a romcom harem type story.

Each wanting more than a third is certainly motif enough for war.

I hope it doesn't go that way... but if it does, I hope it has interesting things to tell. Since is the bizarre that makes the story so fun.

The problem, for me, is that the road the manga is taking now means a lot of time goes between the setting and the payback... and since each chapter takes quite a while to come out, the disconnect becomes more problematic.

Honestly, since the cyborg arc where we got a maid, and also way back when they were wanting our MC's blood, the story has always been slow paced this way.

This makes sense.

But it's poorly explained, or rather not explained at all.

I do get the idea of having stuff up to us to interpret, but when done that way, it needs to move a bit faster so we can be sure "oh, so I was right" or "oh, so that's what's happening".

Yeah, the moment after the cosplay event was not made clear enough.
Too much is left to interpretation, which can be nice but needs to be done with either a faster pacing, or a more clever one.

Sadly, this one seems to fail at either.
