Honestly, I complained before that this story had a boring MC at first, because of how straightforward he was towards that one goal. But now he has more human emotions and I am LOVING IT.

Not really... since the whole revenge story started going a bit out of whack when he found a place to return to, in the tribes.

Before that, he didn't have anything but revenge. It all was a set up for the moment he was able to realize the truth.

The reason he can't act is because he is trying too hard to do that. It's like the whole weight of her mother made him wooden, it's what I think.
...or at least you could write it like that, so it can have some pay-off.

Still, I agree. The "natural kindhearted" Yuu is what people keep really falling for.

I mean, if it was acting related, it could work with her mother backstory.

But maybe you are right and the payoff to the family story can come another way.

Boy I would love if he found out he CAN act at some point, get a chance to do so... and decides that still wants to stay with the sisters.

His abilities might be evolving; instead of just "hearing" things, he might be developing a skill to put thoughts into other people.

Now that looks like an amazing development.
