A monk who believed that evil is destined to wind up in his hands eventually just to be ENDED BY HIM.

Abject humor, yes; Randomly placed, I don't think so.

He has been since the moment he broke out of the Shiori curse. Back then, his mind tried to hold on to Shiori, but his body kept screaming for Akari until his mind was drown with thoughts of her. But no more, ever since he properly broke up with that slowpoke b*tch, he steeled his mind for a good goddamn try.

If you think this is stalling, you haven't read Rental Girlfriend yet.

Indeed, just when I thought Jirou is going to suffer again, those girls shocked Akari awake for good.

Fair debate. Even a scumlord like the Monkey King can eventually sit on an equal throne as the Vairocana (Rulai Buddha in Chinese), and even last minute prayers are welcomed into the gates of heaven (by Christianity), who is to say demons and devils can't?

Like I said earlier, even if he tells it, who's that dumb to believe his words outright? Actions speak louder than words. In Master Gu's case, words are pointless, breadcrumbs are way better.

In this world setting, yes, fortune can indeed run out. But your second paragraph was correct, Master Gu is a heaven-defying existence, not because of the character himself (remember that the character was meant to die right off the bat like cannon fodder), but because he was a transmigrator (refer back to the very first chapter), and the system that goes along with it. But people wanted to kill him not because of him being the transmigrator, but because his character IS the Demonic Cultivator.

And yes, the system has no obvious agenda just yet, so far its just giving the options as if it wants to see how far can a FATED VILLAIN like Master Gu go.

Yes, fortune is blessed by the heavens, but it can also run out - hence Fortune VALUE, which can be measured by the system, thus it being the system's trait. Like I said, the system is a guide, it gives you the options, but you pick the method.

Even if he can show it, his fiancee already knows he has a demonic heart (evil in nature no matter what deeds you do), so head on confrontation and self-proving will only make himself even more suspicious. Hidden intents (leaving breadcrumbs) is a far better, safer and tactical option.

Most of them unrelated so far but three of among them are Master Gu's fiancee, his cousin, and his future disciple. Only his fiancee and cousin are no longer hostile to him due to his reasoning. EVERY Fortune's Chosen has a validated reason to kill Master Gu, whether by within the process (like the 2nd emcee who fancies his alchemic cousin that escorted Master Gu) or in the long run (like the very 1st emcee that's supposed to kill Master Gu as a final boss for his happy ending with the Saintess - "happily ever after" kinda bullsh*t).

Actually, the system also helps the emcees (by plot armor - as shown by their Fortune Value which is a system trait). They just can't see the system supporting them as Master Gu does.

A villain that steals the very cliche that makes the emcees being heroes, PERFECT.

Have you forgotten how this world works? Those emcess (aka Fortune's Chosens) have PLOT ARMOR (aka "blessed fortune from the heavens"), just like heroes always have their comeback moments. He had to do things smart because even plot armor has a limit before it will be labelled and turn into complete obsolete bullsh*t for defying logic way too many times. Yes, he's not under any pressure to get any stronger, but once any of those emcees become stronger than he is, he's practically f*cked - I don't think I have to mention how and why if you read the background lore and settings of each and every one of the Fortune's Chosen.

True. But given the world's settings as it is, the system is more like a guide and reminder of what must be done. Heroes and villains don't co-exist, no?

Actually, the title refers to the MC transmigrated into a villain character. Hence the word FATED VILLAIN. It ironically had little connection to the system.

I remember the novel mentioned it, but its also mentioned in a chapter here before. And yes, he never got any cultivation technique from the system at all in here (manhua), only alchemy texts, catalysts, materials, and core substances.

Like I said, why focus on just one (Master Gu's heritant cultivation from his family line) when he can have it all (cultivation effort and potential from everyone that he killed or imparted into himself)?

No, its not. The demonic arts is more like an innate cultivation born along with his demonic heart. The system only transmigrates a player to this character, and providing some guides, starter packs and quest rewards to them.
