At first, I thought it was just Himmel experiencing the illusion, but Frieren was seeing it too. Frieren, of all people, finally realized her feelings for Himmel, even if it was within an illusion.

And let’s talk about Himmel—what a mf beast. I always knew Himmel as wise, but to defeat a greater demon while trapped in an illusion, all while protecting Frieren with dulled senses? Incredible. I feel privileged to witness how great he was in his prime. He just earned major favorite character points from me.

I have felt this way for a while. But Himmel really is wise beyond his years. Even as a kid, I cannot see him as a kid.

That's actually kind of terrifying. A demon that has lived for potentially hundreds of years whose name no one knows. Not because she has been living in seclusion like she says. But because she has killed every human who comes into contact with her. No matter how powerful they are or how far they run away. And that line about her never killing anyone is a load of bs that could be sniffed a mile away. She had to learn that human magic from somewhere.
