Kind of disappointed that the ending is pretty open like that. Nothing really got solved, questions went unanswered, details went unexplained. Never really put much of a priority on going through any of Matsumoto's work, but there are people who praise it as an underrated gem that doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should. Harlock in particular is treated as THE definitive entry point to his work. So yeah, I'm feeling rather underwhelmed by this kind of ending.

Would be nice to see the rest of the series uploaded at some point.

I remember watching a Captain Harlock anime when I was younger. Don't remember if it was a movie or a special, but it was something I've faintly remembered in the back of my head until now.

I think they've always had this setup for when people hit 70. the only thing I've seen get changed is that when you level down, you at least get 200 points out of it. Not that it matters if you're maxed out or burn through everything trying and failing to get back up anyway.

Yeah? I've gotten it twice, way before I even hit level 50.

Highest I'm willing to try a random Level Up change is 71. I've dropped down to 69 and spent days getting back up to 70 and bleeding points like mad on the "best" chances.

Lucky. My lucks terrible so the highest I get is 71 before bad RNG takes me down to 69, then takes as many points as it can before I can get back up. At this point, I'm more likely to get there by just hoping the Mystery Box dishes out 10 Level Ups.

As fun as the memes are for Roger being a simp, I actually do appreciate how this current flashback is peeling back the "unshakable legend" most people think of when they hear about the Pirate King. But he was ultimately human, for whatever faults or virtues he had. For years, we've only gotten the perspective on the legend he became, not the person he started off as.

And it's a nice litter reminder that there's always more going on in the world of One Piece than you might initially think.
