Just how long does he get shit on by overpowered characters? Really puts me off reading that it's just a constant struggle if you add to the fact that releases are so damn slow.

This is the official English translation from Manga Up which has 46.1 chapters currently, so I guess each month they drop a few chapters but it's up to someone else to rip them. Bato is the best place to keep up to date with ripped chapters.

All done, it was a chore to finish off. It's a pretty decent manga but not amazing. 7/10. The art carried it massively. Why so low? Well, 99% of the characters in this story are absolutely stupid (it's the same with the authors other manga's). You have the public running towards scenes of massacre with their phones out, people fighting close range with firearms against deadly beings with maybe two or three actually doing things long-range. There's even cases where despite being armed, they just let the monster kill them or they let them get away. Took way too long for character development. It's basically a very frustrating story, you will get mad at the characters because they are so damn stupid lmao.

This author really knows how to write the most lowest IQ characters.. yeah lets just approach this god damned alien robot and give it water despite all the planes crashing and people dying. Same with Gantz where everyone would rush towards scenes of mass murder to take pictures.
