The story is a bit unique because the actual villain was already dead from the start, so the conflict is not hero vs villain like many other

And the plot is about Mc who wants revenge for her favorite character to the couple for betraying him and for them to regret and apologize. So it doesn't go to the extreme of wanting them to die because the problem doesn't go to the realm of hostility.

From what I understand all the villagers are trained, mature and independent. The children also know that their village specializes in criminals, and they have not been assigned any sinful duties because they are still children. Maybe some of the adults also have the same realization, it's just too late to change. Maybe the village is bound by something like custom or politics.

If that's the case, it's only natural that only some take revenge.

Author just need a reason so they can fight and create an epic battle that's why the plot si suck
