Lots of fan service lately. Author must've been itching for a while, huh?
Make no mistake. No matter how the author tries to spin it, at it's core. Aqua is and is a 30 year old put into a baby's body. He is a grown man wearing the skin of a kid, dating kids and kissing kids. He is the Dad dating little girls. The manga treated his new body like a body swap from the moment he was an infant and continued to do so. He even acknowledged his own real internal age when his body was a toddler. ONLY when the manga started dipping it's toes into romance with minors did the author start getting wishy-washy about how old is the 30 year old man inside the teenager's body actually is.
If I took your brain and put it into a robot would that now make you zero years old instantly, because the body is freshly made? You wouldn't say "Yeah, totally". So why is it different with the body of a child? That idea of a seperate being doesn't mean much, when it doesn't come off in the narrative in any tangible way. If he acts, talks, thinks, remembers and has the maturity of a 30 year old man with the same soul of that 30 year old man. How is he in any way that matters not a 30 year old man just in a kid's body?
And he could just wait for his 20s and date that age range anyways. But I don't care about that! I care that the author is contradicting what we've seen with the narrative. Aqua is only ever a normal kid when the author wants him to be, but will never substantiate those ideas in any other way in the story save for when he dates minors and two or so other instances. If he just dropped the idea of addressing it it wouldn't be an issue with me.
So he's still a pedo dude. If he dare Kana now that just makes him a groomer along with that. Though technically he did that with Akane already, so I guess he's already holding both titles.
In the case of Oshi no Ko he's just straight up diddling with kids in both mind and body.
Every and all isekai with grown men inside of the body of a child. Doesn't matter to me. I don't care. I care when the author gets butt hurt about the implications and bends over backwards to make it morally okay. When in reality nobody would give a shit if they just never addressed the issue.
Obviously his first relationship was for buisness, but there on the mangaka very clearly wants the relationships to be a genuine thing. Literally had a chapter where he took Akane and the mangaka went out of his way to have Aqua have an internal monologue about how "I'm just a regular teenage boy with an interest in romance". When he would then back track and have Aqua essentially be back to his full grown man mindset on a whim
Bro was a grown ass man except when the mangaka didn't want him to be. That's it. Aka Akasaka...please never cook another reincarnation story in your life if you don't have the balls to commit to some of the implications. If he just dropped this whole identity arc non-sense it really wouldn't have been a big deal.
...is probably the mindset he's got
