Maybe she just took his "Now I just see you as a normal person" and ran with it. She should at least update herself with the Kusunoki "situationship" he's in if she's serious about the "competition".
I do not recommend to non-seasoned dumpster divers, like myself.
Forget being rival are they even playing in the same league? The same sport?
We couldn't even finish up with a marriage scene or having a nice lil epilogue several years later? That's it? They might fuck later and that's the end? The MC being as pathetic as ever too. Goddamnit.
I lament the me that stuck with this until the end. I'm not even grateful it's over. I wish it never started to begin with.
Plus on the off chance they're a close friend or family you've probably just pissed her off. It makes zero sense whatsoever.
But, yeah, you have a fair point. Even if it were a loli manga I guess it doesn't make it fine to add stuff like that. But it's kinda touch to say it shouldn't have inappropriate images of underage anime character, cuz...I mean that would be a significant chunk of manga here actually. You gotta remember manga like To Love Ru also exist, so it'd be kinda hypocritical. To remove chapters with images like that on the website would mean removing a whole lot more. Which, is fine if you'd argue this should be the case, but I personally think it's a step too far.
My bad for overreacting and earnestly reading my words. Hope ya have a good week.
And, yeah, I hate pedos. But I'm not a pedo. I'm an otaku. I can distinguish between reality and fiction. I read my manga and then I go to work. I really don't know why you want me to get mad at a victimless doodle some random Japanese guy made in his apartment. I don't have that kinda energy. If kids actually get touched or real images of kids are involved then you have my attention. Otherwise GGz.
Also, "be human"? You say this like Hitler and Stalin weren't also human. Human ≠ Good. And what bad was committed here? Can you point me to a victim of the creation of these images? If so, I'll gladly endorse the incarceration and cancellation of the artists. IF you can do that.
This is also a lolicon anime and manga. Part of the gun gal boom of the 2000s. The mangaka, in fact, used to work on lolicon visual novels. My point being that it's not what the message and theme is about. Because that's not what makes something a lolicon work. It's about aesthetics, visual presentation, appeal, etc.
Basically a mega summary for folks that don't wanna read more than a paragraph
I guess just look deeper into media ya read idk
If it helps to further broaden your understanding. Cardcaptor Sakura is also considered, amongst Japanese Otaku, a lolicon anime and manga.
Ya gotta look deeper to understand what makes it a lolicon work at it's core. Constantly having the lil girl fawn all over the generic male lead. Having another lil girl fall in love with him that adds nothing of substance to the plot. The constant breaking of societal norms in certain situations. The fact that we're constantly having pages of the girl basically looking straight at the camera with this dazed affectionate expression and having the lead indulge her in sketchy activities.
The manga foregoes showing anything lewd or going all the way in their relationship in order to have drama and mass appeal, but dawg. Most of the events are things that would take place in a romance manga. The author is into these sorts of things. Look at her other manga and see how she handles another taboo large age gap dynamic. In that one she doesn't hold back on the lewd shit, but ya can clearly see similar writing sensibilities with how she writes this one.
You can be a work for lolicons and still have deep themes(Koi Kaze, Yosuga no Sora). You can be a work for lolicons without lewding the young girls(Cardcaptor Sakura). You can be a work for lolicons while condemning lolicon(This manga). They will likely NOT go all the way with their relationship, but do understand it will eventually push near the edge at some point. Cuz this is just that kinda manga.
The characters and story can make a clear stance against and still appeal to fans of the dynamic in subtle ways
Look at the mangaka's other work and see how she does it there more explicitly with a older woman and teen boy instead
I'm sorry, but if you made it this far and not realized this is a made by, for and translated by LOLICONS you lost the plot.
How did you make it this far without realizing that?
