I guess most people don't really get it, but it's rare that anyone ever actively tries to be isolated and alone. It just happens sometimes.

It's weird. Never took D for the type to hurt civilians. Gotta be more going on.

She can, but seemingly not ero manga anymore. She doesn't have the desire or edge to create works like that anymore, since she's grown out of her complex and dependency. Instead she wants to make manga with characters learning to grow and develop to teach the general public how to become a "developed" person.

Which is overall a nice balance and conclusion for her arc. Leaves on a bitter sweet note though for the MC and GF tho.

Kinda feel like the side characters have kinda been there to steer the manga in side quests that didn't really do anything, but halt the progress of the main couple. It's interesting development for the MC and the life he's led, sure, but we could've done that without so many chapters of the sis-con arc.

I assume both arcs weren't really all that popular, which is why they both get resolved extremely fast near the ends. I'm assuming the next chapter the brother is going to feel lonely without his big sis being the way she was and how much the gap in growth between the two has formed. But he'll overall be proud of his sis and it'll be all wholesome and shit. Though, I can't imagine the sister could return to eromanga as she is now.

Much of her art was shaped by her pains, frustrations, complexes and pent up sex drive. She's dealt with each thoroughly by developing as a person, so she'd have to phone it in, which I doubt would be good for manga. She's just not the kind of person that could make eromanga like she did before. I'll check RAWs to skim the next few chapters.

She was always beautiful, but she looks more presentable and actually hygienic

The black bars unironically make it way more lewd than if they just drew her bikini. My mind is imagining way more extreme lol

I kinda take it all as more of a character drama than a mystery manga. I'm fine with the plot not really taking any massive turns here and there, because even in the early chapters it was more focused on the characters' internal musings, struggles and interpersonal conflicts. The mystery was a great hook, but clearly was never meant to be the center focus. So I'm fine with the direction it took.

MC and Mi-chan needed much more screen time imo same with Chiaki. I liked Taku's lil arc as I see it. Wouldn't say his knowledge was magic though, it all tracks as I see it. Becoming full on comedic relief was an odd spin though and his relationship with Mei was rushed as all hell. The gyaru x otaku pairing works though these days lol.

The Mom never cheated, right? I thought she was in a cult or something. But yeah his home life was garbage, however that ain't an excuse for everything else

I'm just glad Tabata and the rest of us can move on. It outlived itself and dragged out for too long.

Deaths don't make things better, but when you artificially use character deaths as a constant fear in arcs that centre around the conflicts of war. Kill said characters only to change your mind later. You're effectively just milking your audience's emotions.

Because if we knew even if everyone died they'd be fine then no one would care about the outcome of the battles as long as they win overall in the end. It's one thing to not kill any characters(like One Piece) but it's anothering to milk several scenes of their death, tease their death, their death is a looming threat, kill them, make a bunch of sad scenes because they're dead. Then you DON'T keep them dead? It's a betrayal of build up and expectations and the author should never be applauded for that. "Staying true from start to end" would be the author just NOT having any deaths to begin with.

Overall an inoffensive ending. Kinda mid. Mostly because all my excitement for the final arc tapered off a long time ago and things got wrapped up really quickly. But it's...fine.

Only "bad" thing I'd say is wish we got more pages for the epilogue and the Noelle romance going nowhere really makes me think that whole thing was one massive waste of time.

Otherwise, GGz. 7/10 series overall. 8.5/10 pre-time skip though.
Guess Tabata can finally retire now. Thanks for the memories and such.

He's not the father of either first borns as I see it. MC didn't actually have sex with his affair partner. Unlike his wife, who very much did.

Also, yeah, she definitely had way less resistance to sleeping with someone else. I feel like in general she's a more weak willed person than she lets off. I suppose she thought it would be impossible to have children with her current husband and decided to have another man's baby and pretend he was the father by facing unprotected sex next time they met or feign SA.
