Man Wooin is still as sneaky as he ever been, but that aside where the fuk Jisuk went, I thought he went earlier than Jiwoo. It would be such a waste if neither Jisuk and Subin not get chance to fight here.

Ikr. I don't usually hate training arc, but given their situation it's just doesn't make sense, unless it's something to unlock some hidden potential for a secret weapon for kind of purpose beating specific more powerful opponent. This kind of training just feel too casual and doesn't feel fit with the war as background.

I don't expect to see Woo In holding out that well, I thought he would struggle more, but it looks like he's capable of handling the lesser one. Idk, they may not even need Jiwoo for this.

right.. it's like a norm for such stories to have multiple girls/ guys. and they will all have some degree of romantic relationship with MC. I think author can still put some things worth a volume at least before they reconcile, but I think this is good enough. It shows that in the end they still care for each other, and hopefully will learn from their past mistakes going forward.

I don't read much Mitsuru Adachi but I love one work that I happened to read (Itsumo Misora). I think I get what you say about it being mix of slice of life, sports, etc. Maybe it is also why I am more open about Ippo as it is now. No other boxing manga I have read actually did this before (although I only know Buyuden and Rikudou), so it's very interesting. And the way George made fun of his being second is comedy gold tbh, which actually really made me interested in Ippo more.

wooin definitely come back either by himself or bringing the gang. And it may mean Jiwoo will fight world ranker for real, this gonna be so exciting. We should see the development of the trio and also whether Jiwoo is strong enough to be a ranker now.

I think it is interesting concept. Usually people got iseka'di and become hero powerful enough with also huge morale compass. But ofc that is not the case here and it just so happened that the MC or rather Main Protagonist is, of all heroes returning, the strongest one and also the most unhinged one. Something that I like is that he doesn't have too complicated of ideal of being bad: he simply just want others to suffer basically. Such a petty reason, but anything is good enough a reason if you have power.

this maynot be a popular opinion, but I kinda like this retirement act. I love how Ippo tried to work out boxing not as boxer but as second and also coach. I don't however follow the story from very start, in fact I started as he was transitioning to live boxing not as a fighter, so yeah I may not have the same insistent that Ippo need to be the boxer always. But I mean, it's still nice, it's not like there's lack of fights. We got Mashiba (who is btw close to retiring as well lol), Miyata, Sendo, Takamura, etc. And author just refuse to put into bed the idea of Ippo returning as fighter so we may never know. But what I want to say is that this retirement act is not just filler. But anyway, each to their own.

It's kinda funny for someone like me who started right at around Ippo's transition from boxer into coach/ second, I quite enjoy the story as opposed to many who are more eager to see Ippo back in the ring again. Honestly I'm kinda OK for both. Ippo the boxer or Ippo the Second are fine. As of now (ch 1487) the author still keep the story open for both option too. Idk. Personally I think I'm leaning more towards Ippo the Second. I think despite Ippo still being an able boxer and keep improveing, I feel that ship has sailed. But eh, seeing him sparring with Mashiba is quite exciting, so yeah, I don't him him unretiring. Just, feel like the story is going back to start again or something.

ikr. Everything else about it is nothing new, but black wolf manifestation is an interesting concept in and of itself.

The prequel to Aria (Anime and Manga). I loved the series for it's wonderful anime adaptation, which combines beautiful scenic venice-Mars with soothing melodies. I don't usually read/ watch series of slice of life like this one, but Aria has its way that enchant me. It's good for a change from usual isekai and other main tropes nowadays.

I'm actually a bit surprised I could read until now. Don't get me wrong, this is good stuff. I mean it feels more realistic than your average time traveling people story can be, plus it takes seriously the matter of integrating someone to society, both officially and socially. It however takes the point of view of Chinese citizen and its life intricacy and it sometimes get bit boring because of the wall of text you will get as MC explain things to FMC, especially early on. But once you get over that, it becomes really enjoyable.

Having Ellison go to battle by his own will is way better than forcing him to the front line outright. I don't know what will happen with Medrine in the future background story, but at least the academy still maintain good relation with him. Personally I don't think the grandmaster is horrible person: forcing Ellison to face the truth of war is a necessity because Ellison actually cares for the people and being a chef also means nothing if there's nobody to enjoy your food.

It's not like mage are supposed to win every battle on their own though. Usually also they are deployed in formation with other mages and tank etc. Also while the idea is good, it is also possible one is only talented in one area. Given the situation of war, they should be trying to be more practical imho. Ellison clearly doesn't show result academically, and it matters not if he's pretending or genuinely incapable of learning: he have fireball good enough to be sent to war anyways.

it's kind of weird that Elison didn't get sent to war with that kind of powerful attacking spell.... If I were a general of war or something, I'd just pluck him out of academy: he's learning nothing and his fireball is already that imipressive.

I like the irony that it was because Moyong Yul Cheon brought back his son that it become his eventual downfall. Was he afraid of MC that he has to use underhanded method? in the end his time is indeed coming as is the story, but I can't help but wonder what would have been if it was pure 2 v 1.

I kinda like this villain perspective, it's reminding of DeathNote. Well Choyun is just less likeable and more of a brute, but still. Anyway, Author is definitely just fast track the main loose tie that is Choyun, I think after he's done with Sechan this should end pretty quickly.
