This is one of the rare stories where romance, etc. isn't a thing, but the characters and their relationships are warm and full of fluff. The action and art are just extra touch, but for the past 100+ chapters, there's not really much of that. It's not hype action you'd get from other fantasy stories, but the concepts are fresh in a way, about those "legendary" powers he's been amassing, without the classic power or magic systems. Art is mid but not ugly.
I like the politics and trying to scheme and stuff. All in all, this manhwa is just a combination of the things I love, and it's great in that sense. It's nothing very hype or extreme, but this story is very comfortable and heartwarming to read.
Also MC's personality and character is a whole 10/10. It's too early to ask for his character development and such, but he's been using other characters pretty well. He's a very sensible MC unlike others who are cringy and pushover. There's still so much mystery in the story, so I just hope this comic continues. Other characters are also sensible, and they're not tropey. Even if they were, they have decent backstories, and they're not bland. They have their own personalities, and they can be witty and funny.
I already read good survival stories that the survival aspect of this one is subpar at best. I'd rate the survival factor a 3/10. It's generally poorly written in those terms, and the fairy tale-like happily ever after solution defeated the purpose of the system being life-threatening.
It's not thrilling. While it has interesting settings and world-building, it barely gives off any thrilling or emotional impact that intrigues curiosity. The main characters are actually tropey, and I loved a couple side characters more than the main actors. They were given some kind of backstory, but while there is emotional impact where you can empathize with those main actors, the backstory itself comes off as mundane. I guess that stems from how the backstory comes off as predictable and an unnecessary advantage to the FMC in this survival game. I don't recommend.
I like the characters of the spirits, but most characters are pretty much tropey with barely anything to bring. They're flat and boring. The background stories of other characters such as the villains,
This is good enough for one of those times you just read whatever because you have nothing else to read, but it's overall not that good and barely decent in terms of being unproblematic. I'm going to drop this because its supposed selling point isn't that satisfying anyway. The only good thing about it is perhaps a couple character interactions, some cuteness here and there, and the family problems being well-written, well-paced arcs. I just dislike the plot from a zoomed out perspective and the characters.
