Funny thing about becoming a tyrannical governing body. You don't actually have to do anything to become one. People just have to take what you do do out of context.

Like when they made a law for Native American reservation kids to be provided with proper schools, because their districts are too poor to supply an education and weren't being given federal money for it, because it is a reservation and not US land, and it was an inescapable cycle of poverty, and then the people in charge implemented it by legally kidnapping children to send them to Christian boarding schools that beats them and strips them of their heritage and beliefs.

At least I assume the people had the best of intentions and didn't realize what they were doing at the time. I suppose it is possible that the original lawmakers really were just that evil.
