honestly i think id be fine with it either way so long as the reasoning behind the choice is sound and in line with her character.

Honestly very likely.

Something like the first emperor, who wanted to live forever, uploaded his consciousness into a digital format, and after centuries of updates and changes they’re more akin to a program than a person. Running the empire based on mechanical efficiency, self longevity, and expansion. Doing whatever it takes to reach these goals regardless of the citizens or anything else.

ah, so his family's dead then. still doesn't excuse him from being a dick.

No need for spoilers(didn't read them(don't wanna know)) but yeah. I have no clue whether this was actually axed or not. It's just that an abrupt change in pacing is typically one of the early warning signs, alongside shifting directly into the climax.

...and? Just because he regressed through time doesn't affect his physical strength.

Given this series' amazing fight choreography, the author knows their stuff when it comes to swordfights. A full overhead swing being blocked in that position would take some inhuman wrist strength to do without serious injury. It's a fantasy series so I'm not questioning the impossibility the move itself, just impressed by the ungodly strength required to pull it off.

if the plot goes the way he wrote it, then yes. with all the changes that the co-author made we can hope that's not the case. but i honestly doubt they're that kind.

and by the literal power of Deus Ex Machina, here comes MC to the rescue.

yeah but the pacing made sense for One Within the Villainess. as for Lv99, the anime had a different ending than the manga so it could be kept to 12 episodes. The manga's still ongoing on a fairly different route from the anime, but even then the way it's told in either medium makes sense. Here, the pacing left us off right at the end of a conflict and then leaped straight into the next. Typically there's at least a one chapter "cooling off" period between conflicts, so this feels overly rushed to me which is often a sign of an impending axe.

that makes sense. After the animal incident much of the tension was released and the plot was set up to have another phase of buildup. But now we're suddenly at the climax without any of that buildup so it feels misplaced. thinking about it i agree that even one intermediary chapter to let things settle and build again would've removed this confusion very easily.

yeah, but skipping 50+% of the school year? it was only a couple moths in last chap at most, and now its the end of the year. feels like either a quick cutoff or the author ran out of ideas. And given how long the debates were for the resolutions to each problem, the pacing feels inconsistent if not just wrong.

with the rapid acceleration of the plot, was this axed? just given a few more chapters to finish the story?

Just set the swamp up on the path of an approaching army. Whole group starts taking damage and you heal from each and every one.

I’ve already said it once, but i feel i need to say again, that poison is broken as shit. 100% non-dispellable DOT lifesteal is just your victory every time. Hit em once and then run. Even if you get hit once or twice you heal as they slowly die.

...living things die. so yes the species as a whole is alive, but this particular individual might've already died. It was then resurrected and used for this test.

necromancy isn't just skeletons. zombies, ghouls, mummies, etc. are also possibilities. As much as Keyzen could be cruel enough to kill a living one, given their value as secretive transportation, its unlikely. my best guess is they reanimated a freshly deceased corpse and used it for one last voyage as a sacrifice for this exam.

With them being necromancers and all. It was probably already dead.

I know I would.

Shitty empire should be left to burn. let em be a warning to the rest of the world not to piss off a dragon.

i think it was a disguise. his actual outfit has become pretty iconic as "the Hoarder" so he probably switched things up to go about incognito.
