Apparently the reason why tentacles became popular in Japanese porn, was originally because they were required to censor the human male Phallus, and they chose tentacles to represent that, and then imagination took it to what we now know it as. 🀣

Depends on the species.

Some male anglers do get to keep their autonomy, but some literally fuse with the female and become nothing more than a sperm supplier.

Some are a 1:1 and others are literally covered with dozens of males who have fused, and serve purely as sperm donors she can choose from, like a personal library.

I wish more employers could recognize when to not question how an employee accomplishes their job, when it does not infringe on anything potentially illegal or otherwise fails to violate any rules or regulations.

As long as they're getting their job done, that should be enough.

The easiest way to discriminate against a minority is to erase all attempts to acknowledge it exists.
If tthere's no term for it, you don't have to put any effort to regulate it, since people won't have any way to articulate it.

Erasure is the most common form of oppression throughout human history.

As I said, labels are abused exactly as you outlined, but just like how science improves the more labels you have to define something, so does society.

Lables are a tool that can increase freedom, but ironically, oppression begins by making people afraid to acknowledge those Lables, once people become adverse to associating with those Lables, they can then being erasing the positive impact of those Lables, just look at how the term Unionization is seen today.
Or how about Trump's effort to Erase the Trans people from the Stonewall Riot monument.

Demonization of a label is the first step towards oppression.

Nazi Germany started out with other minorities, and then expanded to include the Jews in their systematic processes of rebranding a label.

The Lables is a first a tool of freedom, but if people don't guard against it, those who seek to oppress , will manipulate public sentiment against those who embrace that Lable.

The tool isn't to blame, it's the people who use that tool.
You ddon't blame a hammer, for being used as a weapon for killing others, you blame the one wilding it.

Only when dealing with cursed tools, and those with sufficient sentience, can you actually grant a tool some degree of fault for how it is used.

Labels are required due to how society is structured.
Without labels, it's easier to force people to fit a role, because without labels they can't articulate why a role doesn't actually make them happy.
North Korea is a perfect example of this situation in action.

They erased all terms, and acknowledgement of anything that isn't specifically Heterosexual... Amongst other things.

Basically, lΓ  less are a tool, that can both serve to oppress, but more oftentimes serves to destroy oppression... Since you can't fight what you cannot name, you can't speak of something without first identifying it as something to be spoken of.

The color blue existed prior to the word blue, but until the word was articulated... It was simply called things like "Wine Dark" as was the case in the Oddessy (or as was the case in the particular edition of the translations I got to read)

Yes, labels frequently do get abused... But that also means that the efforts to acknowledge something on a societal level, is working, and is an opportunity to advance the narrative, and change for the better.

Right.

Surfs wwere extremely common until the last century in Russia, and in many ways such restrictions still exist even now.

China still has a form of this in their "Registry" system, where a person is granted certain rights and privileges for maintaining their association with one particular location.

It's looser than the older forms of restriction, since it does allow for more mobility... But it also inhibits people from migrating easily like the average American did during the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Most of the restrictions now are entirely economic in nature, and there aren't any laws in many places that block a person from changing their permanent residence , nor do they penalize people for such things. However, in places of extreme wealth inequality, it is more likely that people are blocked from moving by how expensive moving can be, and the issues with rent and employment definitely impact the viability for more people

They did the plot for Pipi... Perfectly.

The hints, and the introduction... Nothing overly done, all done with the right amount of Bitterness, and sweetness.

Plus a dash of fear...

It's kind of funny to see people upset when someone dislikes a trope, or a comment. πŸ€”
When I like a series. I'll make an effort to not read the comments, so that I don't have anyone ruining my vibe with it.

Only when I'm bored, tired or amped up, do I end up making comments, as is the situation here.

Right?
Though the Loli dragon is by far the most common in my experience... So even the Shota Dragon is a reprieve πŸ˜…

Yeah... Sadly, I had to become what I am because If I didn't, then things would be worse for me...
I do prefer to stay out of drama, and actively mitigate it whenever I'm around my friends, but Ai also have few friends, and because I hated drama enough to always poke holes in miscommunication, and other forms of drama, I also didn't make many friends since the only those who appreciated my efforts to ensure things stayed calm, and relatively drama free, enjoyed being around me, despite my other skills... But those other skills are equally OP... When I have the energy to sustain their use... I'm like those Tropes of Ultimate Weapon, but getting it to work more than once, in quick succession, is an absolute pain, and requires quite a considerable amount of investment... But if someone makes that investment, having me is really like having a cheat code for life. Most people don't have the ability though, so here I languish making observations about things, doing what little I can accomplish on my own, when I can do so, and wait for the person(s) who can handle my abilities properly. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

LOL
Being tthe observer is definitely easier... But when I have the energy, I actually enjoy being the one to deflate the drama, and cause the plans of those kind of people to fall short of their expectations... It's way more fun to make those people feel frustration and anger... Since people like them have caused me way more drama, frustration, anger, and even Trauma, than I mentioned. Even if I can't get back at those other people, it's fun to have some revenge of my own on similar people.

The last time I had such energy, I left a man in mortal fear of my wrath. So scared that he whole heartedly believed that my statement of it reaching beyond the veil of Death itself, wouldn't save him... A statement made because I knew I was going too far, but couldn't hold back, so I simply erased that route from his mind.

Not the only person to become Mortally Afraid of me... Around the time I left my first college, my roommate happened to see me upset over the situation, without my being aware, and he apparently asked for an immediate room transfer...

Something about me that afternoon had him that scared... Despite the fact that I don't like taking actions that cause me more problems, and he wasn't the reason I was upset.

Two whole semesters of him trying my patience apparently didn't get it through his head that I wasn't one to act on impulse normally. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

My moral compass isn't great either, I simply judge morality by how many people can be hurt by any particular action... If the number is one, or more, then it fails the morality test.
If no one is quantifiably hurt by something, then it gets a pass.makes things easy, since you only need to pay attention to what can be quantified.

As for revenge...it's more fun when the object of revenge does all the effort, aand all you do is simply point it out at the right moment.

Actively seeking revenge is usually a waste of time, effort, and simply makes you an easier target for their manipulations.Instead, ffocusing on yourself while paying attention to their activities means that you can just drop a small earworm in whoever they're manipulating, to slowly unravel their puppetry, and when the time is ripe, you just mention that small trigger and watch the fireworks as the person loses all the control they've been working to maintain. 😈
It's extremely low effort, and doesn't require much attention, since if you're really good at it, the whole charade that person has, will implode without more than a few tiny flecks of your own work.

I did it regularly in some senses while I was in college. I had the misfortune to get myself tangled up in a really sick and twisted woman's drama inducing schemes, but ironically she didn't have the imagination to make the drama, and relied on my knowledge. Downside was, is that we spent two years of her trying to start drama, only for me to recognize the patterns, and deflate it.
Even tthe final round, only resulted in me getting quietly out of a contract with the college, and no further permanent impacts on my life... She apparently joined with the HIPPA violating College Counselor to wreck the lives of more than a dozen other people after I left. Even successfully undermined the people who tried to sue him for his violations of HIPPA... I wasn't on that trial, but I could have been... So, if I was guaranteed not to have my reason for leaving brought up, I could also sue him for his violations... But it's not worth the effort. I'm not particularly proud of the situation she caused for me to leave, and it's not like I could financially benefit from taking action either.

My belief is that as long as it's impossible to prove a quantifiable harm in any sense, aside from breaking some cognitive illusions about reality... No behavior is universally problematic , and irredeemable.

If it causes a problem, or quantifiable harm to others, then most likely it hasn't been integrated properly to begin with, and so far... The only things that can't be integrated are the things that do objectively cause harm to others, as a direct result of the behavior. Which includes the parents that castigate their children simply because their children don't fit into their plans. Or people who actively enjoy hurting others.

Rich/powerful people are also a problem, since they frequently refuse to accept the restrictions on their behavior, that would ensure they don't harm others.

Ironically the more cursed and unnatural thing is actually in their denial of the LGBTQIA+🀣

Some of it definitely has to do with the restrictions... But not entirely... In Thailand, it's seen as the filial thing to do if you have no intention of ever getting a girl in your life.

Since if you become a priest, you're freed from the Karmic and Familial obligations to perpetuate the family legacy.

China should adopt a similar dynamic to help resolve the filial piety problem they have. After all, that's how some ThΓ‘i Gays would get around it... If they were able to tolerate it for a set period of time at least. At least that's what I have been able to determine from a limited data set. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Regardless... Many Asian countries have a problem with the LGBTQIA+ community simply because it complicates the older generation's plans. 🀣

LOL

Lesbianism is the first of the LGBTQIA+community to be accepted in general.

Since it doesn't negatively affect the idea that to be manly, you HAVE to be attracted to The opposite sex.
Basically, bbecause it doesn't directly infringe on patriarchy, it's normally more acceptable... And the CCP censorship of it, has more to do with the looming population crisis they created with the overtly patriarchal traditions clashing with their "One Child" policy... Instead of a One Child policy, they should've enacted a One child per gender policy. Then they wouldn't be facing the significant gender imbalances, and ironically, if they simply accepted the LGBTQIA+ Community in general, they'd probably solve a lot of their current problems with population, since to accept the LGBTQIA+community, would also require more tolerance of people in general.

I personally want to see Gay Sects, since whatever exists is less than ideal, with it outlined as a celibate existence... Though Ironically, some Buddhist sects have oftentimes been some of the most degenerate and Homosexual organizations 🀣

I simply want to see an author play with all of the inherent innuendo for male anatomy, with more effort to make it clearly not heterosexual. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

I think I did see a Korean Murim series get a bit like that... πŸ€”

Yeah... But they never dwell on anything besides the Heteronormative stuff in these series, and is they do touch upon the LGBTQIA+ stuff, the genre normally treats it as worse than whatever Evil sect, or in some cases whatever righteous sect is playing the bad guy... Seriously... They treat the actual Bad Guys with more respect, Ironically. 🀣

Clearly the author is under some bad sort of misunderstanding about Sexual Orientation.

You can't change a person's sexual orientation... The only thing that happens when you try, is psychological torture... Since all of the routes to changing how a person expresses their sexual orientation, are forms of abuse, and many of them are otherwise classified as crimes against humanity.

You don't change their orientation, all you do, is force them to wear a mask, and pretend to be something that you have defined as acceptable, without any regard for their wellbeing.

That mask will slowly kill the person, unless they manage to get into a situation where they're allowed to relinquish it.

Nothing is more deadly than being forced to live a lie for someone else's benefit after all.

Is there a Murim series that actually properly dipicts Non-heteronormative relationships with respect?
Also, that whole Yin & Yang deal seems a bit suspicious. Particularly since the whole Idea that Men are largely "Yang" kind of doesn't work with the concept of Yin & Yang theory... If anything, it seems more like an attempt to make it heteronormative.

Since the way it's described, men shouldn't be in contact with too much Yin Energy and women shouldn't be in contact with too much Yang energy ... Which means that dual cultivation would expose them to too much of the other kind of energy.

Therefore, theoretically someone of the same gender would actually make a more ideal cultivation partner... But since Dual cultivation is purely meant as a Euphemism for sex in this genre, they try to make up reasons why same sex partnerships shouldn't work. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
