I made it to chapter 26, and the last straw? The spoiler that you absolutely want to read so you can skip the whole stupid thing? It was the shark-dude named Pedro who mind controlled his village with an evil artifact offered by mysterious villains and forced them to conquer the neighboring mermaid village to sell them into slavery, all because he was distraught about how his smol fin meant he had limp, weak magic and he had to compensate.
