The classic change up.

one of the reason i love reading this is that past chapters and pest lives are not wasted. they always bring them back into the loop and call back to them. we all saw that he wasn't wearing his usual armor but thought nothing of it. but here it is called back and integrated into the current timeline nicely. its beautiful to see.

also he has two attendants that pretty much cover his ass, and he has amassed a lot of military power despite him being a "small time " lord. Also there is the other bit where he pretty much can wipe the floor with anyone who challenges him to combat, combine all of that and you get a guy who just goes at his own pace.

pretty much this. Its kinda like how skeleton who can't save anyone always fails. well this one always tries to be evil but in the end saves everyone.

the anime could never do this justice. it was a good try but this is just so much grander.

i don't think he as a character understand such subtleties. His vision is as wide as his experience and he lacks that. He has power sure but he would rather not involve himself in a wider war from other factions that might see him as a threat. as the guy said, he has things to protect and beyond that, it will just come down to his own needs and ambitions.

he also gained other magic which to him, is very valuable. he can always brush off aside anyone in his way later anyways.

they actually didn't introduce any of them in any direct way. that's why i don't recognize them.

it would have sucked if he had actually died, but i guess at the same time, it reduces the impact of losing an ally.

the manga release is so slow and the story progresses so slowly that they are bound to rush a bunch of things anyways.

such delusion. guys like him are worse than actual villains who actually have understandable motives. Thanos was a good guy compared to him.
