Well I’m not expert , but technically I think I will create inflation, as it’s the same as you cash all that money and put it in your basement.
I don’t know about inflation, but the basic of every economy is that the money keeps circulating, I paid you for sth, then you use that money to pay someone else for sth. If you stop the money(savings under the bed, etc ) problems will occur, as the money will stop circulating . Savings in banks or stocks doesn’t have that big of effect as they really don’t save your money but keep circulating it to earn more money. (It does has an effect , but not that big in comparison with saving it under the sofa)

Let’s set an example with barter. If you do some work , and get paid potatoes, they give you 10 potatoes , for the work but you only ate 4 . If you don’t barter the 6 potatoes and let them rot, the cicle is broken. So then some1 will see hey I gave you 10 potatoes and you let 6 rot, so how about I only give you 4 , as it is the same for you. And voila now your work that previously paid 10 now pays 4.
