A chapter showing nothing. They working hard to show 'something', then people are pissed a half hour latter when Shirone was hard working to last for 10 minutes doing something. Something something something. To even call this a cliff hanger is hard because of lack of knowledge about what is happening in the first place.

Blackmail is impossible. You can't reveal someone is a "evil spirit" without revealing yourself.

Also RL references wouldn't work anyway as the game people clearly don't know shit about the real world or even know there is one.

So it's less someone acting or knowing something someone from the real world would know rather than not acting like people expect and being too ignorant of things.

Also people don't really socialize between other parties inside the dungeon either. Two barbarians keeping to themselves would not be at all odd.

Finally again there is information Jandel could ask for and give that would have benefited them both, even if Jandel doesn't party with em.  For one asking how xe came into the game world, how much xe had played of the game or even if xe had ever played the game. On the flip side Jandel could inform em that people are looking to kill barbarians for their hearts which have financial value, and anything about the game xe might not know if xe hadn't played it or played it much. Like about the need to pay the death tax etc. Other hints for how to survive.

Also enough of "coward" I'd probably be very frightened too. Fear makes sense here. Obviously that fear needs to be overcome just to survive, but let's not judge em too harshly with words like "coward"

Also if anything Jandel is also a "coward" turning down a chance to learn more to potentially go home etc. as well as help someone out more, because of some very very slight theoretical risk.

Well at minimum they could have shared information about how they arrived in this world.

But I don't buy your logic about a party being killed because someone thought one of their members wasn't acting like a barb.

Some training and tips could have also been done if not guide them through a dungeon at least once. Tips like for example people trying to get barbarian hearts for one.

MC does NOT know the "only way to get isekaid was to beat the game" MC literally only knows of their own circumstances. The two other people MC has met who have come into the game MC got no information from. This player specifically seems to NOT know much about the game, even MC wondered on that point. A sample size of 1 is worthless for determining pattern. You know a good way to increase your knowledge? ASK QUESTIONS WHEN A PRIME OPPORTUNITY SHOWS!

How is MC suppose to get back to the real world without knowing anything? It seems like MC isn't even trying to get back to the real world.

Is lower rank or higher rank number stronger?

I don't get why MC did that to the other player. Best way to help him would have been to let them into the party or something, give them a chance to learn how to do things.  At the end after saying it didn't make emotional or logical sense, still somehow makes it seem like this behavior was best for the fellow player.

They might not even have played the game or something and not know of the death tax. Also this was a chance to get more information as well as help. Does MC really never intend to return home?

That sounds right, well specifically the other person who MC is inhabiting the body of killed her in the alternative timeline. Which sounds very convoluted. Author really wanted to make sure MC had all the inside information, didn't want to take any chances in MC being less than completely OP I guess.
