So author writes a terrible story with an asspulled plot twist, receives warranted criticism, dies of embarrassment, gets sent into story filled with plot holes, and gets OP powers. Expectations 2/10 going into this

Pretty good to start, but gets worse as it goes. Art is average at best, MC is pretty good, but a lot of plot points feel asspulled, with one arc being a complete Castlevania rip. Nothing really unique about it, as it takes from every magic fantasy manhwa cliche, and the writing isn't very strong

okay then just waste your time reading this crap. the point of the comment section is to express opinions. why try to fool people trying to get into it? the main character sucks and doesn't get any better in over 100 chapters. if that's not an indictment of quality, i don't know what is.

in the 125 chapters i read, he had no character growth and was a plateau of stupidity because "being dumb is funny." he is literally the kind of character who would find an OP weapon like excalibur and throw it away because "it doesn't work" ; he has zero brain cells. he is an extremely unlikable protagonist who improves completely by accident. it is not rewarding to read so many chapters when you have to put up with an awful main character.

So many of these Japanese MCs have the easiest road to romance possible and still waste away their youth with obliviousness. This is the kind of guy who could get married and have kids with this girl and still think to himself "I have no idea what she's thinking. I wonder how she feels about me." I get the whole "mob character" premise, but still. Nobody could possibly flirt more directly and obviously than the girl in this. MC in this is about as empty and insert as possible. He does not have a single thought that isn't motivated by main girl or his little brother. What's telling about this genre is that MC here is actually one of the most likable ones.

MC's warped logic in this early scenario always makes me laugh.

it's unfortunate that this isn't good given how many chapters there are. everything satisfying just doesn't have enough length to dig in, while garbage like Overgeared is impervious to cancellation and will have hundreds of chapters with solid art.
