MC's warped logic in this early scenario always makes me laugh.

it's unfortunate that this isn't good given how many chapters there are. everything satisfying just doesn't have enough length to dig in, while garbage like Overgeared is impervious to cancellation and will have hundreds of chapters with solid art.

novel has one girl, no harem. MC is romantically oblivious as a character trait and FC is romantically proactive. Don't think romance comes for a long while though

It's funny, interesting, and the novel has no harem (only a single woman partner). The impossible has happened and somehow there is a good manhua. I don't know how they did it when every other manhua without exception is unreadable garbage that makes you dumber. Read this and behold a miracle

This sucks. FL, in order to get the perfect revenge or something, doesn't do anything to blonde shithead ex for over 100 chapters. it's her goal the entire manhwa and she's depicted as a just character, but would rather have people die in ignorance of Gaspar's lies, abuse, etc. rather than reveal him. She effectively lets people die for no reason at all; bad guy has MC-level plot armor for exaggerated and ridiculous prolonged drama. It feels like the author didn't want to kill him off because they had no other ideas about where the plot could go otherwise. Just absolutely terrible and builds to nothing.

the art in this is disgusting; MC is so unlikable it's crazy. 3/10

This is the type of manga where the MCs will thwart an evil character's plans and then just let them go every single time, whether demon, evil character who kills people, evil character who tries to kill children and destroy the town, etc. Then that evil character will show up again and again, endangering many of the MCs' friends and acquaintances. Then, a demon will come and be like, "they don't like you and might think you're worthless, but I can help you" if you just do X horrible thing, or become possessed by a demon. This is the kind of story where the MC not killing people to maintain the status quo always causes more problems because the people he lets go always have grudges the demons exploit. Maybe this is just the way mangaka like to write stories, but I find this kind of conflict to be pretty annoying. MC is a massive mary sue who thinks taking half measures against evil rather than fully resolving the problem will somehow allow him to continue his peaceful life. The characterization of most other characters is well done, but it just isn't that enjoyable to me. 6.5/10

He's lying for literally no reason at all. It'd be a hassle isn't enough of a reason to put yourself into a way more difficult situation to handle. Lying to his daughter has no benefit to him at all

Not wholesome. It's basically a cheating/ntr plot where after any major development between main couple, shy girl (who claims she's not a lesbian) emotionally and physically cheats with their mutual friends at the first opportunity (in all cases, she initiates the cheating). It's a terrible manga where there's the cliche of all the girls depicted are actually lesbians despite none of them being out, just for max cheating potential. Shy girl is a straight up terrible person and low-key bitch. Her wishy-washy attitude and lack of trustworthiness shows why she didn't have friends and should not have them in the future either. You want to root against her unless you're a degenerate who likes ntr plots. Not recommended.

this starts out good with romance being the focus, but then falls apart in later chapters. I wish the focus was just on the romance rather than moving from ecchi-ish romance to pure ecchi, then a stupid love triangle, and then pointless backstory. the tone just doesn't support what it's showing. It becomes increasingly ironic, sarcastic, and emotionally distant as it goes on, which is a bad choice for what's romance first, as well as a manga which of course has the slowest releases schedule imaginable. she's clearly in love for the first 20 chapters, but it gets expressed as just lust and using the MC later. this slowly becomes the most lowest common denominator bakemonogatari horny bullshit by the most recent chapters

And MC activates his virgin shield, but wait, FMC counters with aggressive flirting. MC responds with a predictable self cock-block, but again FMC has an answer. She touches him and makes it rain through her mysterious divination powers. It looks like they will smash, though MC is undefeated this season in protecting his virginity. Will she be able to use her knockers for the TKO seduction? We'll see the results, right after this break.
