Don't think it's as powerful as it sounds. At least in the Novel the MC is often almost killed... He is often called a Sunfish, while all his companions are OP (even Theo) He is literally so weak that just being around powerful figures like Aileen causes him to pass out and almost die (which is why she is trying so hard to make him strogner)
