What happened with the manga was weird... So much so I can't help but wonder if the translators screwed up somehow and missed a bunch of chapters.

Nope.Seen 2 people at 80, and reached it myself. Haven't seen anyone past that point yet.

Had a feeling that Super Spawn last chapter might signal the end of this story...

Did you stop trying to level up once you reached 80? (I was 80 for a day and then 76 the next day, and have failed consistently since...)

Smart, 70 onwards is just full of the large hassle of constantly losing levels.

If he is anything like me, give it a day and he will lose 4+ levels and be back in the 70's

Just a heads up for anyone who jumped to the comments after reading only the first few pages: This chapter isn't just a recap (though a large portion of it is)

Either the pages, or the chapters themselves (or both)

Recently with the chapter that was missing text I went to Webnovel (semi paywall) and unlocked the chapter to check if theirs had text, but the chapters didn't match.

So I think the chapter numbers are screwed up between different translators.

Are these pages in the correct order?
