Yup, I knew it. This author loves their soap opera drama. I'm not going to celebrate the MC asking for a divorce, but from a more realistic perspective it might be the healthiest thing for both of them to step away from each other. But I don't that the author will follow through with it. Something will happen to pull the two together again. Or circumstance will require they stay together. If I were to guess from the way the story is going so far, I think Astina is going to get grievously injured protecting either the crown princess or Teriod. And that will pull him to her again. Maybe, just maybe something like that will get him to grow up a little bit.

She is hurting as much if not more than he is. She has made some attempts to accept her relationship with Teriod, but his need for assurances and him constantly reopening her emotional wounds has made that all but impossible. Not to mentions her issues make it hard for her to be sure what her feelings for him are. He is fixated on her feelings for Theodore, he has convinced himself that she cannot love him if she still loves Theodore. Expecting her to magically love again and let go of everything that happened in her past life is ridiculous.

To be honest I see them both as victims. He is very immature, and she is horribly traumatized. They are both so caught up in their own feelings (pain) that it's hard for both of them to make good decisions.

I like how she deals with his dramatic possessiveness.

I'm a little confused. She is right that they didn't treat her like family, that brief flashback showed that they did treat her fairly well for a stranger and a commoner. That room had a good sized window tbh, and it looked like she had that room to herself. I would have been wary of a six year old capable of fighting of and possibly killing grown men too.

That's a surprisingly good looking long sword. It looks functional and beautiful. Most fiction design weapons way too chunky.

My guess is she will be of Leta descent to escalate the drama. The author obviously has been heavily inspired by soap operas. I'm getting tired of all these misunderstandings and rash decisions.

I really disagree. The Duke's immaturity and insecurities are tearing at this terrible and deep old wound Altina didn't even fully understand until finding the journal. She can't even begin to heal with him constantly keeping it bleeding and festering with his doubts about a dead man.

The hero's party did not. The hero got a rank up because he helped kill the demon general that was in the elven capital.

If I remember correctly she is not distressed that she cursed Theodore and Terriod's bloodline. She feels distraught that she failed to break the cures with Theodore when they had the chance. I believe she hadn't let go of Theodore in her first life because of Theodore's plan. And that's exactly what she needs to do, the past is what is slowly choking their relationship to death.

Agreed. The wounds each of them have suffered are grievous. It might have actually been healthier for her if she hated her old love instead.

Yeah, when they were initially planning the operation.

They likely do have larger stockpiles of ammunition and equipment. I don't remember them saying anything about the US military bases and equipment located in Japan. I don't know if the Japan purchased the manufacturing process for the weapons and equipment that they bought from the US. If they did then production facilities for them already exist in Japan and they would just need to ramp up production, maybe build a few assembly lines on land purchased from one of their current allies. If not then they would have a major logistical challenge of reverse engineering what they have and developing the manufacturing processes on their own, or developing new weapons and equipment to replace what they can't repair and rearm.

What they are showing here is the majority of Japans military. And a retaliatory strike against an openly hostile country that slaughtered and executed civilians in cold blood is not a waste of resources.

It's been made pretty clear early in this series that the resources in this world are if not identical to those found on Earth, are nearly identical. Specifically oil and mineral deposits. Flora and Fauna are more exotic to be sure, but still usable since no mention of issues were mentioned after the trade deals were made near the beginning of the series. The biggest bottlenecks Japan would face are bureaucratic, industrial infrastructure to support prolonged military operations, and probably oil refinement facilities.

You are mistaking love for the infatuation that media likes to call love. That wild attraction that makes you think of someone at every waking moment. That makes you want to make them yours. Love requires commitment, effort, and an incredible amount of understanding. The reason he chose what he did had nothing to do with love and everything to do with how terribly broken he is. And to be honest our MC was so obsessed with the idea that all of this was a game that she didn't care as long as she got that 100% and got out of the "game".

I agree with everything you said except one thing, Eclis does not love himself. I expect he hates himself. Likely he hates everything. And in his self loathing and misery he was drawn to her pain. Hence his obsession that he mistakes for love.
