So that's what they were looking for and couldn't find. Also explains why the patriarch made sure his daughter thought the plates were an important tradition so she would keep that item away from the people who are looking for it.

I mean I wouldn't call mc a loyal retainer. He is very clearly selfish and profit driven and the emperor knows that. If I were the ruler of a country (prime assassination target) and I suddenly got summoned out of nowhere, I'd want answers and I wouldn't be nice about it. Yeah maybe he goes overboard but so does everyone in this manwha. It's exaggerated for comedy.

He's an accurate representation of what a human acts like when they are super powerful and get whatever they want from a young age. He's not overly sadistic, just justifiably arrogant.

Maybe it's a past version so he's weaker? Otherwise I don't think it's possible for mc to win.

Unfortunate that a quest with the original goal of strengthening their overall fighting force with 3rd awakenings has turned into them losing a lot of ppl.

Hmm. Either tying up loose ends to keep balance, or becoming a surprise ally.

I have read a ton of literature on the topic already. Including plenty of it that people claim supports the fat acceptance movement. None of it has passed muster so far. I might look into it but my life is a lot busier now than it was back when I did research on topics I found interesting or important so my bandwidth for research is greatly reduced. I also have multiple doctors in my family as well as a brother studying kinesiology so I do research with them occasionally as well but they're sick of that topic.

Ye u right I misread that part. Doesn't change the main points of my arguments tho. I do think that fat people can be treated poorly or discriminated against do go their size, as it has happened to me, but there is a difference between thinking it makes someone dumber, and thinking it makes physical activity significantly harder. Mainly, one is true and the other isn't. I do care about medical truths for fat people, being one, and I don't like how the issues are downplayed by the fat acceptance movement. All reputable and relevant science says its unhealthy and dangerous, and we can't lose sight of that in an attempt to make people feel better. Goodbye.

There's a difference between fat and large to start. Also, the person you were responding to was asking if the fat guy was using magic to make it possible so your damn right you better set that aside because the person you disagreed with mentioned it. I watch sumo quite regularly, and the best wrestlers are not "fat." They have fay on them but they are extremely muscular. Some of the wrestlers are fat but they have trouble reaching the top ranks and the sport of sumo itself lends itself to that body composition. Sumo and actual fighting are very different. The GOAT sumo wrestler was Hakuho. He was not overly fat. He had a lot of muscle with some fat on top because being lean negatively impacts muscle mass. Derrick Lewis does not match my definition of fat, but even if he did, there's a large gap between him and the character we are talking about. I'm not saying that in order to be able to fight you need a six pack. In fact that can be harmful. What I am saying is that men at the size of that guy in the chapter have a harder time fighting than men who are relatively in shape. Saying it's harder for a fat person to fight is in no way similar to saying they can't drive. And no, again as a fat person, there is a lot more stopping fat people from doing things in life than so-called "fatphobia" like bad joints, diabetes, and heart failure. When im at my fattest, I'm at my lowest. If I had a bunch of people around me telling me it was okay to be like that, I may have stayed there and my life would have been quantifiably worse. I hope you know that by peddling these beliefs you are hurting people and removing support systems from people that need help.

Because yes. By default fat people have immense trouble fighting. I say that as someone who is trained in martial arts, and has gained and lost a lot of weight in my life. My peak weight is just under 300lbs. And I can confirm. Fat people don't fight well. Also that guy is way fatter than I was at 300, though I am 6' 4" or 6' 5" so he might be around 300 if he's shorter but his weight to height ratio is way way higher than mine was.

Some people do. And often when they don't have convenient cognitive dissonance. Like for example, pretending it's a game (with that being a plausible reality). Which of course was my original point which you decided to pretend was irrelevant due to your own cognitive dissonance. Leave me alone and go insane by yourself.

But using the fact that people go insane as evidence that we don't try to not to insane is super dumb

Yes. And I was asking if your retort was sarcasm.

Well consider the idea that in a martial arts cult a MUCH higher percentage of the population learns how to fight. I don't think using the US ratio makes sense. Obviously it's still a lot of people and somewhat unrealistic but who cares.
