oh there is always more things than it seems.

i mean its hard to match with him, its his second life swinging the sword while they are just kids doing things for the first time, so its just unfair. they are talented while he is talented and hardworking with a life time experience. but they arent hindered by others achievements they rather strive to learn and grow. so i really love that cast.

you wanna know what i think the best rival to a mc is? its reformation of a deadbeat noble's blue hair rival. he starts off as a douchbag, a cliché character for mc to beat. he looks down on people and people hanging out with him, aka his lackeys were dipshits, he is a nobleman so he has scewed perception of reality. but how he develops and blooms into the best supporting character and a rival is hands down the road all rivals should strive to walk on.

i like the author of this story, i have complimented many times how brilliant i think his writing is. there are however moments where it feels manhua-like, this doesnt mean that it is bad-baaaad. but it doesnt feel great compared to the rest of the story. one of those parts is with mount hua boi. he can be sooooo much better, he can be written to have so much more dept, but he has shallow reasons for doing things, he doesnt develop in good way. that is what i want for the character. to develop in a healthy rivalry way rather this idiotic risk and reward deal, where he has to drop his brain on the ground to do something.

anyways its just my opinion you can ignore it if you dont like it.
