I mean: any adult can see in the face or by listening to the kid speak, that it's just a mature body, so really should act accordingly.
Yeah, it's... not exactly shit I found amusing.
Great... but it has a sharp down-turn midway.
There's little point explaining what this one's all about, as the description does it already. What you probably want to know is: Is this worth reading?
For me, the answer is: ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY.
As mentioned above though: this does go a little off-track for a few chapters, with stupid and some very unsettling shit just popping up, right out of the blue, the author - thankfully - pushes past that to get this back on the path to almost excellence.
Concept-wise though: this is top tier - one of the most original comics I've come across and the reason I got into manga many years ago in the first place!
No isekai, OP MC or shitty game-interface here - this is unflinchingly brutal at times, edgy (in a good way) at others, and engaging throughout; read this and the chances are, you won't regret it.
Regarding the ending many comments here seem to bitch about: these people are whiny fags. Fuck 'em.
No, the author doesn't wrap up all loose ends in a spiffy red bow, but, given how the whole concept is supposed to make the reader reflect on right and wrong, the pseudo-open ending (because logic dictates one ending, while emotion dictates another... and logic should always prevail), again, causes the reader to reflect.
Recommended... but steel yourself for a wild ride. https://i.postimg.cc/vTxmjTy0/i.jpg
Here are a few more suggestions off the top of my head (you've probably heard of most if them):
• Basilisk: one of my favourites, but most people have probably seen the cartoons instead (I never have).
• Fist of the North Star: it probably doesn't hold up to today's standards, but it was just so damn manly when I was young!
• Vagabond: I owned the first few books of this when it first came out years ago and it was great! It's on this website, but I've been planning to buy the paper versions (I just never got around to it or I'm too broke whenever I remember).
• Azumi: the films for this were superb! As such, I started reading it and wasn't disappointed. Sadly, I lost where I was up to and never got back into it.
• Heavenly Demon: worth your time.
Yongbi: a classic. It starts off kind of as a gag comic and is pretty so-so, but give it and chance and it may just be one of your all-time favourites.
• Gosu: the same author as Yongbi and, sadly, the same weak start, but some preferred this to Yongbi (spoiler: both are tremendous).
• Murim RPG Simulation: okay, it's game-interface but it's also brilliant. Or I over-hype it... but I'm a huge fan.
• The Breaker: althiugh it has an incredibly frustrating MC you'll want to punch on several occasions, the world-building is too notch.
• Eleceed: yes, this is actually a cultivation kind of story disguised as a comedy... with a fat cat. Check it out.
• The Storm Riders: my memory of this as a child with English translation paper comics is that it's solid... but, again, I don't know how it holds up today.
• Legend of the Northern Blade: the first series was so damned amazing, it put this in course as being one of the best of the genre! Sadly - for me, at least - the second part didn't hold up in the slightest, but I'd be doing an injustice to hot mention it.
P.S. going by the comments at the time, my opinion of the second part was a minority view.
There are other good fighting and martial arts comics, but I'd have to look them up to remember the titles.
Men always justify rape in stories, but imagine how girls feel?
Anyway, the gay shit disgusts me, but Katagiri still being alive and MC being colossally stupid have pissed me off.
How is this even possible when a new day began with her death?
By the way, if this is a remake, did you read this one or the original?
Bookmarked for now.
