It's not necessarily the flashbacks alone. Alot of stories now are starting to focus alot on world building. Maybe 1 or 3 chapters is fine every once in a while. But i came here for the MC and the tang clan and i only got to see MC for what feels like minutes in 2 chapters.

Memoir of the king of war had the same problem. They put Mc in jail for like 40 Chapters and we only hot too see hime maybe once every 2 chapters. And everyone was just yapping.

Its like going to an upscale restaurant cause u really wanted a good steak. You waited 30 minutes and all you got was alot of sides and bread but a small piece of steak. Yeah the sides are good but what i came for was the steak. To make it worse you go to a different restaurant and get the same thing. Eventually it gets tiring

Just me but sometimes i feel like They just add backstory to drag things out. I get backstory may help enhance the plot but done too regularly it becomes annoying.

Its not that wierd of him to be wary. Cause the witches seem very intent of making sure that the Hou family doesn't gain power and what easier way than to eliminate the person that is essentially leading them forward. Plus since they have enough power to intersect messages meant for the queen it wouldn't be unbelievable for them to have a spy in the queens gambit or forge on of their signatures daggers.

I really love this story. But the fact that it has a romance tag has me scared that it might turn into a BS story where Leo is no longer herself and becomes a damsel in distress for the male lead like in so many other romance manhua.

Cause the 2 sons act like the company is supposed to be theirs. They are act entitled to it. While MC is Hungry and knows the only way for him to get the company is to work for it. It's the sons act like lions while MC is a Hyena. Best way i can describe it.
