There might be extras, or more twitter stuff, but further chapters would eventually invite an implicit requirement for stakes of some kind, and the sense of a story meandering (save slice of life, but even then) will eventually bring resentment and taint what had been a wonderful reading experience.

They've done all the growing they need to do, individually and as a couple, as far as the story is concerned. Kyotaro's journey has come full circle and he's redeemed himself.

It's sad, but we need to say goodbye.

I tend far more toward Amane. I mean, I've got a slightly wider net than he does of some shallower connections, and I understand that's healthy. But also. . . my true friends are so rock solid that I'd be fine without those shallower connections.
