She'll get better; not after quite a bit of drama goes down, though.

Let's just reiterate; Tanya and Ed's father is a POS.

He's gonna die so many times, living essentially months within the same day. When he gets to the point he runs into the flag guard again, he legit can't remember him; the guy is understandably pissed off.

Ugggh. I felt that. Even when I was all but explicitly invited to hang out with kids I saw as "cooler" than I was, I'd second guess whether or not anyone wanted me around constantly.

Still, those couples that're "meant to happen" are as superficial as just about anything teenagers might come up with.

Ehhh. Possible, but we haven't actually seen much in the way of picking on otaku's so far. They might flirt a little since it's a "tradition" or something that's "supposed" to happen, but I dunno how far they'll push it. Ichiji and Amane are pretty assertive in any case, so even if they do, it won't last long.

Honestly, when it's done well, it makes the. . . coy isn't quite the right word, but the way teenage characters behave around their crushes make a lot of sense. Even while berating themselves internally, they feel emotions so intensely and without practice regulating that intensity that they can't help saying or acting in ways contrary to how they want to present themselves.

So either Code's been underselling his skills even more severely than we thought, or the Emperor is waaaay off base. Considering how often the full story only comes through once we get Code's perspective, I'm split on which one.

Nice that he stopped dying his hair to hide his age since that's how-at least, he figures that's how-the emperor found him. I wonder how close Code's getting to his fake "deadline." I'd normally say there's no way that he manages to ditch Aris and Serena by faking his death, but. . . it's Code, so I have no idea.
