I too reminisce my entire backstory out loud every time i'm done with my chores. This could have been done in better ways.
On a different note Light's utopia is kind of a creepy place to live all things considered, you can't do any wrong of any kind without being exiled, you can't criticize your "government" in any way without being ostracized and if you're ever thrown out or found guilty of something everyone acts as if you never existed in the first place.

Here's a suggestion : make funerals free in times of war, that way the dead can be disposed of in dignity, the grief of the families is eased and on top of that as an added bonus you don't have any undead out in the streets of the capital.
