While I agree his interest is a little sus like in a stalker kind of way, he has saved Iruma and did not try to intimidate/threaten him in an overt way. Opera and Kalego didn't even bat an eye to the danger Iruma was in because they trusted Mephisto and it seems he is on friendly terms with Bachiko. But I'm sure there's an 80% chance he will put Iruma in danger because of his interest in him but it'll probably be due to his dangerous nature instead of malice.

In chapter 324 page 3 he states in his own words that he is Iruma's ally.
