Japan has a LOT of people compared to what the residents of that world had. Do you think they can produce enough food to keep Japan fed? Maybe with some amazing planning they could do it in a year or two. Also with Japan's lack of natural resources how will they keep their cars fueled and replenish their ammo? 

I mean. Eventually, Japan will run out of resources. If they know this, all they would have to do is hunker down and wait it out.

Nah man. If he wants to live a happy and peaceful life he has more than enough power to do so, but he wanted revenge then lost sight of his quest. At this point he has almost lived his life twice now so he is mentally older than you think. But yea the fans just be like that.

What about the other people he needs to get revenge on? Most of his party are just brainwashed people who wronged him, did he forget about that and think they are actually his friends? 

Pretty sure we don't know who this hero is, just like the plague hero he wasn't mentioned in the "main" story. 

Well. We don't see them in the future, so I ssume they fight and both die.
